Today’s super easy kid made ornament is inspired by Bear Stays Up for Christmas book!
We have the kindle version because this mamma can’t wait 3 weeks for international postage so she can read Christmas stories! If you too want a quick list of Christmas Kindle books perfect for kids check out this awesome list!
Anyways, so while reading there is a section where they decorate the tree by stringing popcorn. Now you need to understand that my kids LOVE popcorn. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
So as part of the 10 DAYS OF A KID-MADE CHRISTMAS Ornaments series we decided to use popcorn!
Instead of stringing popcorn in a long line, cause that would involve a needle, ouch. I cut out a few circles.
We added some glue, popcorn and a ribbon.
Added bonus points if you can make popcorn on a stove top like in the book! POP POP POP!
TIP: Remember that popcorn shrinks when it has been out in the air a bit. so to avoid a shrived up popcorn ring, let the popcorn stand a for an hour or so. That is if the kids don’t eat it all by the time you want to craft!!

Love that you didn’t do it the traditional way Nicolette – the wreaths turned out so cute!
