I LOVE color and if you are a regular reader of my blog you will also know that I opt for taste safe play for my kids who still tend to taste everything they explore!
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of Asia Citro’s (from FunAtHomeWithKids.com) brand new book called 150+ Screen-Free Activities for Kids. The title promises “The Very Best and Easiest Playtime Activities” and it certainly does NOT disappoint!
For my review I choose this rather easy sensory explore bin. I did not have the main ingredient on hand but guess what, this book is so well thought out there are alternatives listed where ever possible! SCORE!
You will never guess what it is and I just happen to have it in my kitchen too! 🙂
I followed the instructions and had the bin ready for the kids in no time. Just look at these gorgeous little edible water beads!
The bin was on the kitchen table in front of a window and the light was just gorgeous on the beads. My 5 and 2 year old dived right in with their hands to explore. Yes, the 2 year old tasted them too.
They are so gorgeous I am showing you even MORE pics…
If I had a light table I would definitely put this on there. Just imagine the vivid colors. Also since this was such a hit I am going to do it again soon but with only 2 colors. Although rainbow is definitely lovely!
Grab the book on Amazon and do this activity and over 150 more just as awesome play ideas!
