Have you ever thought about including OTHER toys in your playdough play?
We have! Anything and everything that can make a shape when pressed into the playdough. We have even done some dinosaur imprints!
After playing with other toys with your playdough you will start to see other toys in a new light. Your options to include these items for fine motor skills will also increase.
I bough this stacking puzzle and shape sorting set for the kids last year and only saw the other day that it also had an embossed side. Whether this was with playdough in mind, I can not say BUT it does make for awesome stamping!

My youngest son just started learning how to play with play dough. It is messy so I don’t get it out very often. When I do get it out, I make him play in his high chair.
