I recently found some of these awesome little glass stones in one of the local stores and thought to myself surely I can use this in something! I do believe they are vase fillers but I like to use them in playful learning. The “I must have it” bug struck!
My 4 year old thought these were pretty neat too and wanted to play with them. So I got some foam shapes out and she had a blast and practiced some fine motor skills.
Disclaimer: Small parts! Supervise children with this activity.
At first she outlined the foam flowers, one stone at a time. Then she filled them all in.
Then we got a bit silly! We made faces with our stones on the flowers. 😀
Another one you could do if you have enough of these foam flowers is to write numbers on them and have your child count the stones to match the number on the flower.
This activity is simple to do and had her attention for an over average amount of time. win win.

Did you glue the stones on or just place them there?
