Welcome to our monthly recycle feature! This month is all about the plastic bag.
We did something rather simple with ours and got hours worth of play out of it.
We made a comet with tails!
For the recycled comet craft you will need
- 2 plastic bags
- a rubber band
- a ball of some sorts
- scissors
Trim off the handles of your plastic shopping bag then put the one bag inside the other then drop in the ball.
Now use your elastic band and secure the bag around the ball. Like below.
Next use your scissors to make a bunch of “tails” for your comet by shredding the bag.
Let the kids at it.
There were many noises to go with this curiosity including weeee and woosh which my 2 year old deemed a comet made.
Also if your ball is heavy enough you can toss this around in the yard to each other! weeeeee!
Pin this idea for later!
