I just adore this colorful card my eldest made for mother’s day! Even if you homeschool like we do I feel it is important to highlight these special days with a bit of color!
You will need
- Foam shapes, you can either buy these at the dollar store or use a punch to make your own.
- Water colors
- Paint brush
- cardboard, we used A5 and folded it in half
I held the foam in place while my preschooler painted but a bit of prestick or two sided tape will work just as well.
Let your child have fun with color! Our’s ended up very rainbow like because my preschooler went one by one down the line of water colors. I love the result though!
Write MOM on it with the date (because I would likely forget!). You can also get your kids to draw pictures inside the card.
And there you have it! A rather simple card for Mom full of beautiful colors to warm the soul.

I love this idea. Very cute. I need to make something with my son for Mother’s day(also Nana’s day).
