I love gifting! I love seeing the glee in the little ones eyes and watching the tearing of the wrapping paper!
This year was the first year that my own child was able to open his presents himself.
A little tree was placed between the boys new beds all that is currently needed until we collect our boxes from storage, that includes my lovely huge tree!
Going to be beautiful next year, and my other children will also be older to enjoy!
New Pj’s were put on the night before with much smiles and chatter about doing up buttons.
In the picture is my 3 and half year old, awake at 5:50am after his baby sister (6months old) moaned, usually he will go back to sleep, but he saw presents!
I don’t know who was more excited, me or him. I’m told by my mother that at a very young age I was up way before the sun on Christmas day.
My own recollections of the day with my family involve me “poking” my 2 siblings out of their beds, my brother was happy to get up, my sister on the other hand always wanted to throw me with something. Mom and Dad would also get up, not minding just that one day for early rising.
The first thing that was found was the chocolates. To me, there’s nothing better than opening gifts while munching chocolate. yummmm.
2012 Christmas Day went peacefully, the kids where happy with minimal complaining, sharing of toys went well. The favorite breakfast of pancakes was eaten, a nice lunch and pudding. Well exhausted kids were put to bed. All in all, a really enjoyed day.
Today, Boxing Day, as some call it, I removed all the pictures off of my camera, all 580+ of them! My theory is, snap a bunch and some of them are bound to be good ones, especially if you have little super fast moving toddlers! My choice out of this lot was 114 pictures. Which I emailed to the grandparents to enjoy, as they current live on the other side of the globe.
My new wish for my birthday, a camera to catch the fast monkeys that seem to be bouncing all over the place!
Did you take a load of pictures too?

In my house we were allowed to get up and go through our stockings. I don’t remember getting my siblings up, but some how we were always up at the same time. Comparing and complimenting each others gifts. Then the LOoooooOOoong wait for dad to get up so we could open the real presents.

That’s a lot of pictures!! That is how my husband takes pictures, but I don’t like to take a lot because I know I will never take the time to sort through them.
Chocolate while opening presents! Brilliant! 🙂
