I love simple fine motor skill activities that I don’t have to search high and low for materials for. In fact using items I already have is even better!
This weeks fine motor skill you most likely already have the items for. You will need one of those sticker bath toys (most people have them) and some rather small pom poms. I have use for the bigger pom poms but these small ones have been just collecting dust!
After my 19 months olds afternoon nap I had a lovely surprise for her. This little fish with some pom poms.
She thought it was funny because she actually giggled as she picked up the pom poms to add to the suckers. Why? I haven’t a clue. But then maybe because the bath toy was not accompanied by water?
She also felt the need to press firmly the pom poms into the suction cups kind of like she was sticking the fish to the wall. The pom poms did great just staying where she put them and we had a completed pom pom fish!
Other than being a fine motor skill this one is also great for pincer practice.
