Fall is such a wonderful season. Overall cooler temperatures, scrumptious treats, wondrous scents, and of course the fun holidays! The other seasons have their own perks but no other season has candy corn.
Candy Corn Marshmallow Treat
Candy corn is one treat, although not the most scrumptious, that is fun to decorate and theme with. That ‘treat’ is the inspiration for these delicious sweet snacks! Plus, they are super fun to make and easy enough that kids can help make them!
Besides being easy to make, the supply list is pretty short.
12 Marshmallows
Orange candy melts
Yellow candy melts
Black decorator’s icing
Toothpick
2 Microwave Safe Bowls
It takes about 15 minutes to prepare for this activity. Start by setting out all of the ingredients and supplies.
Place the orange candy melts into a microwave safe bowl. Heat the candy melts on
the defrost setting for a minute at a time, stopping to stir the candy in between. Stirring for 30 seconds at a time to try reduce clumps.
Once the candy is smooth and full melted, dip the bottom ⅔ of each marshmallow
into the orange candy, and place on a parchment lined tray. When the orange candy has hardened on the marshmallows, begin to heat the yellow candy melts in a microwave safe bowl.

After the yellow candy melts have been completely melted, dip the bottom third of
each marshmallow into the yellow candy mixture, and place on the parchment lined
tray to set.
Using a toothpick, or piping bag, place two dots of black decorator’s icing on the front of each
marshmallow monster for the eyes.
Allow the marshmallow monsters to set in the fridge for at least an hour before
serving.
These would be perfect for a Halloween party, classroom treat or a treat plate for neighbors.

Tips & Extra Ideas:
You could also add more decorations to the candy corn marshmallows. This could include things like children’s names, polka dots, stripes, drawn on candy corns, and so much more!
Even if you don’t have the time to make these during the week of Halloween, this is a fun treat for any time during the months of October & November!!
If melting candy gets chunky, instead of melting, it is being warmed in the microwave too long. Try adding a little oil, I use coconut oil, to the melting candy pieces before microwaving the first time.
