Most fun for Harvey was having us all gathered around the box and coloring with him. I’d tried to get him to do this on his own before, but it didn’t work. This time he really felt like the center of attention, and it was fun for all of us.
He pulled my hand into color with him, and then colored where I did. When he lost interest in the coloring we still played quite a bit longer, just tickling and laughing. He laid down on his back and just looked at the drawings and up at us and the ceiling.
Materials:
- A box large enough to fit your child
- Wax crayons
Place the box on the floor and place your child inside the box. The flaps of the box should be open. Show your child how you draw on the inside of the box encouraging them to copy you. Sit back and watch the magic happen.
