Kids love the fingerplay of Five Little Pumpkins. This is the perfect rhyme to teach your little ones as Halloween draws near, and this Five Little Pumpkins puppet craft is the perfect hands on activity to try with it!
How to Make Five Little Pumpkins Puppets
Look below at how to make your own Five Little Pumpkins puppets, so you can start enjoying this catchy rhyme today!
Here is what you will need:
5 wood craft sticks
orange and green felt
craft glue
scissors
googly eyes
Directions:
Begin by cutting out five circles from the orange felt. These will be your pumpkin heads. Set aside.
Next, cut out five small strips from the green felt. These will act as your stems so cut them out to fit accordingly.
Glue the stems to the pumpkins and allow to dry. You can now add the face of the pumpkin by gluing a pair of googly eyes in place or by using a black marker to color it in.
Now that your pumpkins are complete, glue each one to the end of the wood craft stick. Allow to dry.
Your Five Little Pumpkins puppets are now ready to be enjoyed. Use the pumpkin puppets to act out the rhyme or even create your own unique fingerplays! Perfect as an addition to your Halloween crafts and activities.
