Pumpkin season is right around the corner. Pumpkins make a super fun theme for learning activities, because children know what they are for during this season. Kids like to go to pumpkin patches, decorate with them and of course carve them. First we have an odd one out printable. Each row has three different pumpkins. Two of which look the same and one is different. Kids can circle or x out the pumpkin that does not belong in that row. This is great for helping strengthen visual discrimination.

Next we have a comparison sheet. This compares pumpkins in a variety of was including size, color, shape and more. This will help with identification of all the different characteristics of pumpkins.

There is also a pumpkin labeling worksheet. Children will label and learn all the different parts of the pumpkin, inside and out. This includes seeds, stem, leaf, flesh, skin, and strand. A great idea is to read a book about the parts of a pumpkin and maybe even the life cycle of a pumpkin. Then after reading the book children will be able to label the parts more easily.
