Printable Sports Activities

Tracing
Children will use this sports activities printable to practice prewriting. The goal is to follow the dotted lines to complete each letter in the words. Tracing is one way that children can practice writing. This is called prewriting. Prewriting is important to help children gain the muscle strength, skills and confidence to be able to write on their own. This is also very helpful for letter recognition and formation.
Matching
With this sports printable children will be matching one sports equipment to the other of the same game. This includes baseball, bowling and more. This is a great activity for strengthening problem solving and fine motor skills. Children will need to hold the writing utensil to draw a line from one side to the other, this helps with fine motor strengthening and prewriting.
Counting – Printable Sports Activities
This sports activities page is similar to an I Spy game, if you have used those before. There are various sports-themed pictures spread out randomly on the page. Children will need to find and count the images. For instance, the football helmet: if children count 2, they will write 2 down on the square below the image. This is a fabulous activity to practice counting, number recognition and 1:1 correspondence.
Odd One Out – Printable Sports Activities
In this sports activity, children need to determine which item does not belong with the rest. They will look at all the pictures in that line and find the ‘odd one out’, they can then circle it. Children will strengthen many skills such as prewriting, fine motor, problem solving, short term memory and more.
