Yes, it’s that time again, a New Year is upon us and my 2013 New Years Resolution list will be my first one ever!
Mashable.com has published an article with 5 Apps for Keeping New Year’s Resolutions, which is kind of ironic because just last night I was in the app store making a search!
A lot of people make new years resolutions, anything from loosing weight, to stopping smoking, eating better, making better choices and more.
If you have tried to stick to these resolutions you will recall that that breaking a habit is hard work.
I remember I read a saying once that “making a habit takes 3 times less effort than breaking one”! That is 30days to make a habit and 90 days to break one!
So instead of getting all hyped up on the things I am going to be trying to do different or break some bad habit, lets look at the how.
Check out these great resources on how to break a habit, admit, change, create, be accountable. Try these 12 steps to break your habit.
Get organized if you are starting a new routine. Get a planner, an app, email updates, push notifications, something that has the option to be in your face to remind you of the new change for the better you want to make.
Inspirational quotes, pictures can also be a great aid! Sticky notes on your bathroom mirror or fridge. Stick it on the cookie jar if you need too!
Imagery is also very powerful, if you are planning on loosing weight, some slimmer pictures of yourself can be a great aid or if you don’t have any, a picture of a healthy shaped stranger will also do.
Planning to redo the kitchen as a resolution? Hop over to Pinterest and make yourself an inspiration board!
Anything that helps and encourages you to stick to the new and better 2013!
I have been thinking on my list for over a week now, I have a lot of things I want to accomplish for 2013. This weekend coming up just before new years on Tuesday seems like a great time to sit in a quiet spot and make my list!

I plan to buy organic more often.

That’s a good plan! I found when we started using organic veg, we would eat less of things like potatoes because we would be fuller on a smaller portion!
