My little girl turned 2 a few weeks ago! As I did with her year and half day where I shared her favorite things to do at 18 months old, today I want to share with you what she has been up to since 18 months to the grand 24 months old, erm 2 years old.
Plastic animals are still staple as well as a pretend tea set and (her brothers) Lego.
We still have the same range of books as I listed in books for under 3 year olds, I really should order some new ones soon!
She was very eager to help make a flower gift with me too. A great helper!
This year we started on our journey of exploring 12 sensory doughs and making them taste safe for the little ones.
She also loves rice play and all 3 kids were more than happy to help me “play together” my new ebook RICE PLAY!
We also explored a shaving cream free sensory rainbow!
We didn’t do much art in the last few months but when we did she got right into it!
Fine Motor Activities
My 2 year old is VERY interested in our fine motor adventures
From then on she was the star of our fine motor activities every Friday!
She fed baby birds worms (pretend ones!), stuck velcro sticks together, played with a fine motor counting hedgehog, fed a very hungry monster, explored a use for tiny tiny pom poms and reused an empty box.
A real quick think on the feet activity saved us from a toddler melt down.
You are able to see all our fine motor activities here in my archives.
I also share my tips for keeping your younger toddler busy in the kitchen while you make dinner!
After gathering a great resource for printables for her I put together a list of what I had printed.
But my personal favorite for my now 2 year old is the no sew quiet book I made her!
