Do your kids love gardening as much as mine? It doesn’t matter if it is flowers or vegetables, they love helping. Some bugs make them squeal, while others make them cringe. It all makes me laugh. This growing plants game is a fun addition to spring! Kids will love trying to win and help the plants grow.
Gardening Board Game For Kids
Board games are great for so many reasons. First, kids think they are just playing but they are actually learning too! This helps with number recognition (reading the dice), counting, team work, taking turns, and a little competition never hurt anyone.

This is simple to set up too. After printing, you can laminate if the board and game pieces if you would like. I prefer to because it helps extend the life of the activity, but is not required though. Grab a die and get playing.
Another fabulous tip is to take the printable figures, for the game tokens, is to stand up the printable figures with a small block. It can be taped on. This will allow the figures to stand up instead of lay down.
How To Play Growing Plants Board Game
Take turns to roll a die. Move that many spaces.
If you land on a watering can with water, sun or rain, move ONE space forward since these things help plants grow.
If you land on an empty watering can, trample warning sign on plucking warning sign move ONE space BACK since these actions keep plants from growing.
First play to the end, WINS!
