My kids loved wrapping their books today, OH the excitement! Our fun tradition, starting this year: we wrap 24 of the kid’s fave books, stick them under the tree & they get to unwrap one a day until Christmas day. Such fun unwrapping, and we talk about God’s gift to us every time we unwrap a present. ♥ This year, as seems to be every year’s December, we’re having a tight month, and what i love about this is that we teach the meaning of Christmas, and what’s important about Christmas – the focus isn’t on what NEW stuff they get as much as what has been given to us this season, and what we can give others. Each year we take toys and clothes we don’t use much, and give it away to kids that don’t have – another meaningful chat to have with the kids when they’re 2/3 years older 🙂 Until then, we’ll just get the habits in place. Gotta love December and the festive season!! ♥
