Exploring and using new materials is one of our favorite things to do!
This little activity we used droppers and color water on a damp piece of paper and on toilet paper to see what kind of effects the drops would produce. Also great for those pincer grips!
I like to use trays to keep the water and mess contained when experimenting, it also gives me something to move around to either make room for new things or remove to tidy up.
This activity speaks for itself. Have the kids suck up some color water and drop it onto the paper and paper towel / loo paper and watch what happens. Mine was more interested in the dropper and dropping things than the pretty shapes on the paper. The loo paper was way more interesting as it sucked up the moisture.
And as is the usual, many hands were involved in our play activity! My other little boy was content to watch the color experiment where as my almost 1 year old wanted to also splash in the color!
