I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately after taking the free Banish the Mom Funk Challenge. I know us Moms are busy, we never take time for ourselves and I am sure a large percentage of us just don’t eat properly. Here you can read things new moms need for themselves.
So besides making a better meal plan for ourselves and our family I know there are a few things that we can buy that will boost our confidence levels and make us feel pampered as a valuable woman such as ourselves should be!
Ok! Lets get started. I challenge you to buy yourself at MINIMUM 2 items on this list. You deserve it.
Q&A a Day for Moms: A 5-Year Journal – A place to record memories just for moms. Cause you know these kids grow so fast.
Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self-Exploration – Getting back to yourself.
Porn for Women – I had a giggle when I came across this one! It seems to be popular and there are about 3 books in this series! Maybe if you leave it laying around the other half might get some ideas?
Scrappy Little Nobody – Everyone needs to laugh! This one comes recommended.
iwatch / fitbit – We gotta move so get yourself motivated by tracking it!
Pick up a new Romance Novel and actually block off time to read. If you don’t have a kindle it is totally time to get yourself one!
Have you tried adult coloring books yet? Personally I think it goes well with coloring WITH the kids. They have you as an example to encourage them and we all know coloring is good for kids in developing certain skills.
Grow some edible flowers. They are pretty and guess what!? you can add them to your salads if you are so inclined. Or perhaps some succulents? If you love gardening you might also love this backyard homestead book.
Wreck This Journal – I’m going to add this in here because being yourself is not all about being a mom. There was a you before you had kids. Do you remember her?
Pick up some self care items – A special face mask or some heavenly bath bombs. In short pamper yourself.
Essential oils are perfect for relaxation and many other DIY solutions around the home. Pick up a good reference book and buy quality oils to make the best of their benefits. Diffusing oils instead of using candles is usually the best place to start!
Take back your time by adding a slow cooker or instapot to your kitchen appliances.
Get a massager or book sometime with a professional every few months. You will feel amazing after a session. Bye bye stressed muscles.
Get a “hear me roar” smart ass t-shirt – Proudly display your passion for all to see.
How old is your hand bag? Yip I thought so. Chances are you just said “years old”, girl, its time for something new. You drag that thing around with you everywhere, lets update it and get you a confidence boost because of it.
This one is my personal favorite. Get a new mug just for you, something that says it is yours.
Maybe you are a wine drinker? check out this Mommy Medicine Funny Wine Glass.
It gets chilly in the evenings sometime, treat yourself to a luxurious throw blanket thingey. So soft…
Also get an inspirational throw pillow. It is always good to remind yourself that you ARE loved.
So while you snuggle under that awesome blanket with your throw pillow behind your back and that new romance novel you’ll need a box of chocolate or biscuits, the sneaky stash that is JUST for you.
Since us moms are always running around and need a calendar planner to keep track of everything. This year treat yourself to a beautiful one, it will bring smiles to your face every time you use it. Also be sure to use washitape to make it personalized 😉
If you spend tons of time in the kitchen as most of us moms do brighten up the place with a few nicknacks. These pretty spoons that double as salad tongs and are a great place to start besides some flowers 😉
Are you a tinkerer or a fixer of the home? Get yourself your own Toolkit. (Man am I tired of hunting down tools!)
Last but not least. Make a private wish list on amazon for anything that you find and would like to buy but are hesitant. That way when you do have the cash to splurge or need to find a recommendation for a what someone can buy you its at your finger tips.
