Slime is an exciting substance for most kids. If your kids love ewy, gooey substances, you are in luck. This taste safe slime recipe is one that you and your kids will both love!
Taste Safe Slime Recipe
Sensory activities are important for kids to explore. Sensory activities help children explore the 5 senses, sight, sound, taste, scent and hearing. The stimulating that occurs with sensory activities is helping children to develop such things as creativity, social and emotional skills as well as problem solving. All from slime? Yep!
This simple slime only requires a few simple ingredients.
1/3 cup white chocolate instant pudding mix
1 cup of cornstarch
candy eyes
1/3 cup of water
purple and yellow food coloring
mixing bowl
mixing spoon
To start making this edible slime, add 1/3 of a cup of white chocolate instant pudding mix (instant only, no slow cook) and 1 cup of cornstarch into your bowl. Mix well.
Slowly add your water and stir. Break up any clumps with a spoon or fork.

A soft, sticky, and crumbly dough will form. Use your hands to mix and form the slime.
Examine the consistency. Is your slime way too dry? Your slime may need a little more water. If the slime mixture is too dry add a teaspoon of water at a time until you get the consistency you wish.
If your slime is too watery and sticky, you want to add in equal parts of the dry pudding mix and corn starch powder until it thickens.
Once you have the slime consistency, break the slime into two segments. Separate each segment into its own bowl. Use the food coloring (just a few drops each will do) to make yellow and purple slime. Mix well.
I like to add a little more cornstarch once my colors are mixed to remove any extra stickiness. Roll each colored ball into a snake, then wrap the two snakes together to create the blended look!

Top your slime with edible eyes, found at most baking supply and craft stores.
Store in an air tight container when not in use.
