We received Tinkerlabs new book a few weeks ago and have been pouring over it ever since!
Today I am happy to write up just one of the little activities that we have done from this week, bubble prints!
Nice and simple to do with stunning results and tons of fun!
You will need
- liquid dish washing liquid
- tempra paint
- jars, paper and straws
I choose red and blue for our colors. Mix 1 part washing liquid to 2 water and 2 paint. I used a 1.4 cup scoop for mine as my jars are pretty shallow.
Let the kids at it! I showed the kids what we were doing with this mix with a straw in and the 5 year old took right to it!
If your kids don’t use straws often a few practice runs on some plain water blowing might be a good idea before using the paint and soap mix!
Blow the bubbles and put paper on top to capture the prints.
My 4 year old had other ideas, but that’s what being a little explorer is all about right! He went on a drawing spree with the straw.
They make great dots too!
Tinkerlabs book is available at various stores and online at amazon. It is a great resource and a must have for the family with little explorers!
