Make a Thumbprint Sheep Craft
Look below at how to make your own thumbprint lamb craft for kids, and see how fun it can be to celebrate spring!
Here is what you will need:
white craft paint
paint brush
black construction paper
scissors
googly eyes
craft glue
While we are using white craft paint for our lamb, you can really use any color you wish. Lighter colors will show up nicely on the black paper, so you may want to keep that in mind when making color choices.
Sheep craft directions:
Begin by cutting a cloud shape out of the black construction paper. Do this by cutting out an oval, then going along and scalloping the edges. This will give it the cloud shape.
Aside from the cloud shape, snip out two small stems for legs and two small ovals for ears. Set these aside.
Dip your finger in the white paint or use the paint brush to apply it. Press your thumb to the cloud shape so an imprint is made. Repeat, stamping the paper until the cloud shape is filled. Allow the paint to dry.
Once the craft paint is dry, use the craft glue to attach the legs to the sheep’s body. Just attach and hold in place until secure.
Add some glue to the eyes as well as the ears. Attach them to the corner of the cloud shape to create the shape of the lamb. Allow to dry.
Once all of your paint and pieces are dry, your lamb craft for kids is ready to be displayed. You can hang it wherever you wish so that you can be reminded that even though spring comes in as a lion, it will go out as a lamb!
Gather your supplies and give this simple thumbprint sheep craft for kids a try! It is a fun way to celebrate spring.
