Yesterday marked 4 days to Christmas day. My current habit is to bake up a storm on saturday mornings!
For the season we decided to make some “Gingerbread Man Cookies” only I don’t have a little man cookie cutter and the ginger is whole so I left it out.
First, I had a look on YouTube for a video, then my 3 year old and I watched the lady make some Gingerbread Man Cookies, he was super excited after watching the video as he knew what we were about to do!
So off to the kitchen we went.
Here’s the YouTube video we watched.
For the ingredients & directions you can visit the website here.
I rolled the dough into little balls after being the fridge for 2 hours, and used the bottom of a glass to press them flat, giving it that snowflake look. Mine are definitely thicker, and as a result softer, than the ones in the video. I also did not add any Molasses, because, firstly I don’t have any in the pantry and the local sugar cane sugar that I use (Panela) already has a Molasses taste .
If sweet is you add some icing! 😉

Let me know how your cookies turn out!
