We focus a lot on counting to 100 in Kindergarten, I think that is pretty traditional across the board. It is just like learning the ABCs completely through, it’s almost like a right of passage. It is a check point in the long road of math!
Counting to 100 can be a long road in itself, so I insist on making it fun! It is a huge task and I don’t want it to feel daunting or impossible to reach. A printable math game like this one is a fantastic way to encourage children to learn number sense for each number 1-100 while having fun at the same time!
Race To 100!
I really get down when children say that learning is not exciting. There are so many ways to help children learn while still enjoying there time and this game is one of those ways. Who doesn’t like a little healthy competition? This game can be used individually, in small groups or even as a whole group too.

This game is super easy to prep for your kids or students. Once you prep it, if you find an easy way to store it, you’ll never have to worry again! And it only needs a few supplies to set up and play.
Laminator
Dry Erase Pockets (Optional)
Math Manipulatives or game peices
The first thing to do is print out the game board and cards.
Once they are printed one option is to laminate everything, the game board and the cards.
The other option is to laminate the game pieces (or don’t) and use a dry erase pocket for the game board. You can technically just use the printables on their own, but I prefer to protect the printables from little hands and accidents.
How To Play:
Place the number cards in the middle of the players. Start at the number 1 block. Take turns to pick a card. Move that number of spaces forwards. If you land on a red block, move one block backwards. If you land on a green block, move two spaces forwards. The first person to hit the number 100 wins!

This is especially helpful for children on many different levels of number sense. We have included number cards, cards with number words and cards with ten and twenty frames. This will help children learn all different parts of number sense.
