In most pregnancy tea you will find the ingredient raspberry leaf.
In use since the ancient Romans and Greeks as a cure to a number of ailments. This ingredient is made from the leaves of the red raspberry plant. It is used to cure anything from gum disease, flu, upset stomach, rubella, fevers, hangover, diarrhea, inflammation and menstrual problems.
The raspberry tea leaf is packed full of goodness, and is a fine addition to your pregnancy tea!
The leaves are rich in vitamin C, E, calcium, iron, vitamins A and B complex and many minerals, including phosphorous and potassium.
Used for painful or heavy periods, morning sickness, helping prevent miscarriage or easing labor and delivery. Also consumption after the birth, will help with after birth pains and enrich your colostrum and breast milk.
As a plus the leaves infused into a general healing balm does well for our baby’s odd nappy rash. we also drink raspberry tincture tonic in our general day to day tonic for its source of vitamins and minerals.
Unlike a pregnancy tea, Red raspberry tea leaf can be consumed in capsule (tablet) form, via infusion, tea or tincture.
As a tincture it is our opinion that you get more usage out of the herb.
With a tincture method you also have enough extract to make 100 cups of liquid instead of only 10 cups for the same about of plant matter, which makes a large difference if you are having to purchase the raw dried leaves from a source other than picking them right out of your garden.
Definitely a good herb to add to our pregnancy tea.
